Residency for illustrators in Tábor in 2025

The Miroslav Šašek Foundation, in cooperation with the town of Tábor, announces a residency for one illustrator, comic book or graphic novel author
The following are eligible to apply for this residency:
- illustrators working in the field of literature for children and youth and adults, authors of comics and graphic novels
The aim of the creative residency is to give the selected applicant from 1 Juni 2025 to 30 Juni 2025 the space to work concentrated and creatively on their own project, to connect and get acquainted with the local cultural community and to build on a long-standing cultural initiative in Tábor. The artist will be accommodated in a residential apartment (two rooms including kitchenette) in the historical centre of Tábor. In addition, the author will receive a stipend of 34000 CZK (1355 €).
The author applies with his/her own project. In addition, he/she undertakes to participate in one or two public events (reading, presentation, workshop) during his/her stay, if the partner organisation organises them,  and to promote the project through an interview in the local media.
The deadline for applications is 20 April, with the announcement of the results on 27 April.

Due to the international nature of the project, the selection documents must be sent in English or Czech.
